You can make a wide variety of pilaf with the organic bulgur we produce from traditional Anatolian wheat varieties.

A simple and delicious recipe for 250gr (1/2 package);
1 tea glass olive oil, 1 medium onion, 1 small clove garlic, 1 teaspoon pepper paste, 1 cup (200cc) tomato puree, 500cc boiling water, a pinch of salt.
Preferably; 1 tea glass (50gr) boiled chickpeas, three to five branches of finely chopped parsley.
Put olive oil in your pot and heat it. First, throw finely chopped garlic and then grated 1 onion into the hot oil and turn it pink. Add the pepper paste. Continue roasting while stirring until the tomato paste mixes well with the oil. Add the tomato puree. Cook for 5 minutes with the puree. Add the washed and drained bulgur. Continue roasting by stirring for another 5 minutes. When the bulgur absorbs the sauce, slowly add the boiled water. Add boiled chickpeas if you will use them. Taste and add as much salt as you deem necessary. Cover the pot and cook until the water is absorbed. When you turn off the heat (preferably add the finely chopped parsley), stir the pilaf, cover the pot with a clean cloth, put the lid back on and let it rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot with a bowl of homemade yogurt or a glass of buttermilk. Since it is prepared with olive oil, it can also be eaten cold.
